Tresensa has revolutionized interactive marketing technology and pioneered the concept of Playable Ads. The Codewalla team has worked with Tresensa from the get-go, working with the company founders to incubate Tresensa and providing technical leadership to drive the company. Codewalla leadership has worked closely with Tresensa to build a team that was able to build a revolutionary lightweight gaming engine compatible with mobile advertising constraints.

What started as an attempt to build games for mobile web evolved into a technical and market innovation of Playable Ads. Building a dedicated team for Tresensa, Codewalla took charge of product development and went on to build an MVP and the early-stage product. But as product development went ahead, Tresensa struggled to find a product-market fit as game developers were focused on building games for Google Play or App Store and did not want to focus on games for the mobile web.

However, seeing the potential of using a mini preview version of games that worked in mobile browsers, Codewalla leadership found fit in the marketing domain. As a result, the product evolved into a lightweight gaming engine that was compatible with mobile advertising constraints and allowed game developers to market their product by offering an immersive and interactive snippet to their target audience.

This was a truly innovative product, in terms of the technology involved and its market applications. Seeing the potential of this innovative pioneer technology, Tresensa was acquired by Vungle-Liftoff, a leading independent mobile growth platform. And with Vungle-Liftoff – and its investors like Blackstone – Tresensa continues to offer its mobile video game services that allow game developers to level up their video and interactive ads.
